Biography
David Shevlino was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, in 1962. A graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and the University of Pennsylvania, he also studied at the Art Students’ League in New York. His paintings balance representation and abstraction through broad brushwork, sensuous paint handling, and tonal harmony. He has exhibited nationally in solo and group exhibitions, teaches painting workshops throughout the United States and Europe, and lives and works in North Carolina.
